WOW such a long time ago that I posted last on here for sure....

So much has occurred since Sept, we have had Craigs birthday,my birthday, Christmas and New year, January my sisters Birthday February was such the hectic month Hens nights, Bucks nights a wedding a trip to QLD and my gorgeous nieces 21st... Phew tired just reading this.... So have spent the night tweeking this up to make it look pretty.... will now add some piccys and try to be a little more diligent with this.

Updated today

Well here I have updated another 2 Digital L/Outs that I have had a play with I have had a busy time re-organising my house before I start out on my new adventure in life. I am excited and nervous about starting a new job should be a great place to work I cant wait. I have come back with alot more vigor than I had and have achieved alot here at the house that needed to be done. I am so thrilled to be feeling alot better in myself. I am back at weight watchers, I have been walking alot and hope this kick starts my metabolism again to get me to goal..... Thanks for looking

WOW - well like the rest of my life I have neglected this as well here are some updates of Qld where I have been for a wee while getting better and my family and friends I visited whilst there. I have quit my job after nearly 9 years and went away to take care of ME..... I feel alot better and am still getting better I am back at weight watchers and have now landed a contract job for myself close to home less hours and I am very excited I start this in September....

So for the last little while I have been doing some new things,

New walking tracts
New Hair Do
New recipes in my Slow Cooker
New Contract for work

Hopefully leading to a bit of a new life really......

Well I have been to Esperance for Easter with my MUM and we had so much fun. Really was a long way there but we had a ball. My good friend Rach whom lives there we caught up with her and her fabulous family. It was such a nice time. Lots of changes in my life I have had some bad news about my neck and elbows and need some time out to heal. I have resigned from my job a very hard decision after working for the same boss for some 9 years..... Very teary I finish in 6 weeks then I am off to Singapore for a week on holidays and then I will get fixed up in QLD and see what happens.....

My good friend Kris had her gorgeous baby Elise and I have had my first cuddles....
Craig is enjoying UNI and Sarah is saving madly for the UK at the end of the year.

Well since last being on here alot has been happening at home with the RENO's Craig has started UNI Mum has been in QLD come back and now quite ill, we are off to Esperance soon for Easter break (mum and I road trip)......

We have totally tiled our house nearly 60sqm's of tiles what a job it has taken us weeks to get back to normal. BUT the 70's lino has now all gone and we are all grateful for that. Craig has started UNI doing Phsyc and so far so good and liking things. My health with my neck and elbows are still not great and now that its been nearly 12 months of pain its wearing me down. I am off this week to the Nuro for another referal for another MRI then I will consider my options. I dont want surgery so am looking at a couple of different options.......

Mum went to QLD has had a lovely time caught up with family and friends went to Straddie and had a lovely break. We are off like thelma and louise on a road trip to Esperance should be a nice break for Easter. She has to get better first. Off to get my new hair do next weekend. Soooooo needs doing.
Also last week did my 5Klm walk for Melanoma to raise awareness on Melanoma was a great fun time with my friend Deb. We always have a laugh and joke and for a great cause.

New Dishwasher installed today as well, so the paving to go to get fixed from the mess the tilers left and we are just about done.... Great weekend in sport with the Perth Wildcats winning and my V8's on as well

Gone but not Forgotten

Well our 1 year anniversary is Wednesday 10th February for the passing of my gorgeous Goddaughter Melissa....

Not a day goes bye something reminds me of her but of recent weeks it has been rather prominent in my life probably due to this date looming. I know in my heart Mel is in a better place, but with a Police finding still not imminent it is a bit hard to deal with. SO I chose to put a In Memoriam in the paper to help me deal with this day tomorrow and it reads,

My Gorgeous God daughter Melissa, today marks 1 year since your passing. You were taken from us too soon. Not a day goes by I don't think about you - that gorgeous smile, those big eyes and that great big heart. Gone but never forgotten. Our hearts are filled with love for you now and always. Mixed emotions Week

Well the Wedding was on last weekend of our best friends daughter at Burswood Casino here in Perth. She was Gorgeous and it was a great day but a little windy. Gorgeous time reception at Burswood as well and we stayed there so had a fabulous weekend...

This weekend for different reasons my nephew is getting married, and NONE of the family will be there. This is a very tough one for me and I am grappling with it at the moment. Then on Wednesday 10th February, is the first anniversary for the loss of my god daughter with still no answers.... So hard. I thought I would be ok but Mel has been constantly in the back of my mind of late. Not sure how I will deal with these emotions. Feel a little low for now.

Aussie Day 2010

Australia Day 2010..............

Well I got to see my good friend Kris and her lovely family for a cuppa FINALLY and check up on our baby lump.. Cooking nicely. Was such a lovely morning and got the update on Sam going to Kindy so cute gorgeous big bag and the whole story....

Came home did some ironing (yuk) and then did some scrapping as you can see some layouts here and I did another LO that I cant share until later on this week for the Guest Designer at CPC - will post when I am allowed to on that.

Had a BBQ lunch with Craig and Steve, very relaxing have been in and out of the pool now updating here and facebook.. Lovely day in deed. Reflecting on how lucky we are in this country and from an ex service wife thinking how thankful we are to have such fine troops supporting us to this day on active duty....

Thoughts are with them at this time. Hope my kids stay safe out and about tonight. Back to work tomorrow.... Big wedding this weekend at Burswood. First time for me in a dress in about 6 years. Stay tuned for some photos....

Time Gets By

Well here we are in the new year 2010...OMG it was November I last updated

TEE scores is in 84.75 so Craig did extremely well and we are so THRILLED and PROUD of him.... plenty of opportunity now.....

Then we had Xmas of course with the family and then We went to KL for New Year with our good friends Debbie and John..... now back to the grind....

I was extremely ill on my return spent 6 days in bed so not impressed. All good now.

May 2010 be a great one, I have a couple of close friends having babies, one a girl and one a boy so even... I have been buying up some lovely PINK things as this girlfriend has boys...... My other friend is her first baby so she has no idea what she is in for....Have a buys few weeks ahead Debbie's daughter Tara gets married on the 30th at Burswood Casino so few things on.

OMG - where has the time gone

OMG Well since last being in here we have had lots and lots going on with TEE finally over and Craig's Graduation, Mums test results, Leavers just starting, Work has been extremely busy and working 7 days straight..... with Stocktake tomorrow yukko I am so exhausted.... Oh and in Between the V8's with my bestie Connie and I, we also did a Kazazz class and other than this thats about it really.... Thought about Chrissie, got one layby done and nothing much else.

To start off the TEE was very stressful and as Sarah didnt sit TEE in grade 12 we werent quite sure what we were up for.... So that over and done with we had Graduation where Craig (PROUD MUMMY VOICE) landed 2 awards one for TOP student for Cooking Classes - $50 dollar voucher there and a Meritious Conduct Award - $150 Voucher. This award was so sought after and Craig got it. The award is for Conduct and also for Academic and Pastoral care, so with Craig going on the Lleuwin ship, Peer support and his vocation with another member of the school he has been her support person. So a small tear was shed (so of course he did not see at all). They had a supper and photos. So we are awaiting them to come back.

Mum's test results were good and bad (I know a contradiction) she is not critical but one day this stuff will ultimatley not do her any good.. So she is now allowed to travel to QLD for her visit and she is pleased about that. This week in WA is leavers (schoolies) BUT Craig and his group have chosen to leave today (when everyone else is coming back) so I was happy for that but it wont stop me worrying about him. They have gone to Margaret River for a week. The V8's was such a treat as I went with my bestie Connie and her hubbie Ian - in a corporate area soooooo lucky and spoilt we had a fabulous day thats for sure.

So thats where I have been its only going to get worse from here.

Catch Up

Woohoo, got to see Kris last night was so nice on the way home from the physio so thats always fun, with Donatello and reading stories I so love those little ones.....

Kris is looking well and starting to feel a little better... I have had her working on fixing my blog, and with her help I think we have fixed it.....

Been busy today working in our garden AGAIN, vitamin D but this God Damn Wind is giving me the shits... Other than this kids are getting ready for Halloween parties, and a night in for me and the old guy.....

I have uploaded some of my latest work for a swap we did. I was so nervous as the lady I did these for is a very clever lady and very advanced. BUT I was thrilled how they came out. These are her children and I loved scrapping them in the swap

OMG where does the time go !!! well since this post of course we had the big 18th Birthday boy and of course I have since had my special day as well not quite sure on that count...... Steve has been in Singapore on vacation, home for a week sick as a dog and now back at work.

Mum has been for some more tests as have I with my elbows. Life has been very hectic, our patio area has now been completed. Lots of weeding still to be done out there for sure. TEE exams start next week, we have had MOCKS Craig went quite well. Officially has finished school and had a breakfast last week for the Grade 12's. We have graduation in a couple of weeks on a Wednesday night.... OMG time flys along and I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday.

They are so precious, school balls, and graduations and dances ENJOY them all as they are gone too fast....

My very special friend Connie, and I caught up today and she has me smiling she purchased for me (with the help of Ian her hubbie) a corporate day for me to join her at the V8's at Barbagello in a couple of weeks I am sooooooooooooooo
Excited...... Cant wait anyone that knows me, knows how excited I am about this gift.
Your the best Connie.... love you hun....

Our Craig as a Baby

Well my week this week has been full of emotional ups and downs, WHY I hear you ask

My gorgeous Son Craig is 18 on Saturday this week, but not only that is finishing school tomorrow technically his very last Assembly ever. He is on school holidays then mock exams then TEE exams.... I remember the day he started school, and now he is finished... where have all those 18 years gone. I am so very proud of Craig he is a very hard working student and very loyal to his friends and family and we love him alot. As a small child he was a nightmare and I often said had I had him first there never would be 2 of them. Sarah was a dream baby compared to Craig. But today at 6ft 5 tall and a model young man, that we are so proud of that nightmare baby is no longer.

Also this week we had to put in his preferences for Uni for 1st round January next year. Very difficult and emotional at 18 to know what you are doing for the rest of your life... Craig seems to have a fair idea so that too was a long and hard thought plan we put into action.......

I also got to catch up with the gorgeous Kris and her boys, always a treat for me and Kris is still not too well. Got to see the 3d Images of baby Sparks.... so cute already.... Its a long weekend here in Perth and I have never been to the Royal Show and am thinking of venturing weather permitting on Sunday.... Lots happening with Craig breakfasts, lunches and parties... So enjoy your weekend everyone....

Sunday Update

Well its another wet and wintery SUNDAY in WA its cold and wet outside, I couldnt sleep and have been up since 5.AM this morning, got alot achieved sorted out some things on my computer, got some photos onto my external drive that I should have backed up a wee while ago, sorted out some paperwork, three draws in my desk and now for the scrapping table......

I finally got some mojo back and have done 2 layouts for the lovely Lynlee for our photo swap, cant share yet. But I hope she loves them. I had fun doing them I must say apart from the nerves as they were Lynlee's. Have been battling a throat and head thing for the past week, finally to the end of this I think. Had my hair cut and coloured yesterday to make me feel human again. Hope to see the lovley Kris maybe one day this week after work. Also have my OTP projects for Chrissy going on as well some memo boards. So lots to do.

We also have got our new patio roof up and its starting to look really lovely out there and summer should be So much better..... Woo hoo roll on summer. Busy week ahead my baby is 18 next weekend OMG where have the years gone....

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads and grandads, but as my dad says its Fathers Day everyday.....

To my Daddy in QLD I love you alot and called him today for Fathers day too to my own Hubbie Steve happy Fathers day hun, some people are not so lucky and dont have there dads... SO remember the good times

Last week was a terrible, week one thing and another next should be better we hope

Went to see my new neighbour and good friend Kris this week after work, she still has her head in that bucket, and says she was not like this with the boys....lets hope its a pretty pink bundle that is giving her all this trouble...

Have started yes started some CHRISSY shopping believe it or not and doing some OTP for pressies and started them too. So getting a little ahead of the game it will be here before we know it.

Excitement plus our outdoor patio area finally approved by council and should start this week. Must take before and after shots of the area... Cant wait then all we need is the warm weather to enjoy the area. Roll on summer, and a little warmer its so cold here and wet still. I know we need the rain but OMG I have had enough already.

Anyhoo thats the update will pop some photos on here in a bit of Aunty Di 60th birthday in January in QLD, in Toowoomba.... I look at these photos OMG I have lost 10 kgs since then and dont I notice the difference.

Some fantastic news today my friend KRIS pictured here on my blog is pregnant and expecting her 3rd bub so THRILLED for Kris and Adam and the boys......
She has had such a rough time with her morning sickness and just moved house...

Well a busy weekend to be had,

Dinner on Friday night with my nephew, Dinner last night with friends who we are travelling to KL with at New Year, helped Mum with her computer and posted off a gift to my friend in Melbourne, popped in to my new neighbour and good friend KRIS who moved in around the block from me had my nails, done vacummed for Mum, Steve sorted out her computer and having roast for dinner.....

It is freezing cold and windy and wet in WA today. Watching the V8's and trying to keep warm

What a Week

Well a very busy week again this week. Lots happening at work as per the usual.
Its been raining here in Perth for weeks and weeks. We do need the rain but
am getting a wee bit sick of driving to work and home from work in it......

Well my good friend Kris is moving in up the road in the next few days and a very
special lady Jody had a beautiful baby girl Charlotte.... Just so special what life brings you sometimes. I have another person from work whom I hope her IVF works out for her she is having terrible troubles.

My very good friend Connie has had a problem with her foot and 2 cortozone needles later is still in pain... Our Weight watchers meeting has changed to Saturday mornings instead of Sundays... So a sleep in will be in order.

Out to dinner tomorrow night and Saturday night big weekend this one. Stay safe, and dry..... those in Perth

Well I went with Mum today for a trip to the WA Genealogy society open day...
Mum is tracing our ancestory and as we were all born in Scotland its a difficult job.
BUT - THE WA branch has a scottish society and they were able to help her out.

For the first time in a long time Mum got some information she was looking for and kept hitting a brick wall, she was so excited and it was such a joy to see, this will be our history down the track. So great and now she has become a member and going to an orientation and gives her some more things to follow.....

We went off for a coffee afterwards, and then had family dinner tonight. Spoke about some travel for her and its so nice to see considering we nearly lost her

Well another week that was another few people left and the devastation has set in.
I have decided that I will be giving them an ultimatium Monday to move me to the sub branch or I am leaving, at least I will have work to do there.
I have already applied for a temp job, just in case and I am now happy with this decision It has been so very sad to see this destroyed.

Yesterday we went to our Ex-Boss's house by the beach gorgeous and we were all there. Those who were asked to leave immediately those who left off their own bat and those of us left. It was very emotional as Jamie (Boss) had built this company from over 10 years ago to what it was a few months ago. He was quite emotional talking and we all made a pact to get together in 12months time and see where we are at. We had a great afternoon reminiscing and catching up with those who had left in a hurry. Had a few drinks ....... and nibbles and a great time was had by all. My immediate boss who has gone as well was there and I cried when I saw him. On ward and upward from here I say.

My sister has returned from Adelaide hope to see her today she has been gone for a week or so with her hubby over for a quick visit. My DD has been away down south this weekend very quiet in this house without her, she says I should get used to that with her heading OS next year. DS is at a birthday party so just me the puter and DH at home for now.

I have been working on a wee mini album for my Darling Niece who is 18 end of Feb and some 52 pages LO's attached some of them for you too see.

thought I best get in here and update, I have been so off in another place right now with the whole work thing and I have damaged my foot and been in major pain with that So I have been a little distracted. Also learning about Facebook in my spare time due to my dd - Sarah going overseas next year we have to get up with technology and boy or boy have I found some people on there...

I also have been getting around MSN messanger as well I have been speaking with some of my scrapping friends around the place. So as you can see a little busy Also our guys go back to school tomorrow Craig is in year 11 now so it seems very strange just having 1 to go back to school......

Have been doing some scrapping with my 52 pieces challenge at CPC but also doing some other stuff as well. So my mojo is tired but still working for now.

The week that was and whats this week hold

Hey all

Well that week flew by and was just so stressfull on a work front and also a few issues on the sister home front..... Honestly I wish I was back sometimes on that beach in Thailand away from it all.

Was my DH birthday mid week as well and Sarah our gorgeous girl arranged a meal for the four of us doesnt happen often at the local favourtie restaraunt which was just lovely being mid week. Friday evening caught up with my sis and her hubby for DH birthday drinks and got stuck right into some Cowboys, a whole bottle even !!!oops !!! not good for the new regime I am on to lose weight... But anyhow you have to have a treat sooner or later.

Work Front

Well an update from this week

4 more people have resigned still no sign of the NEW owners, our share money finally was paid today after being promised before Xmas.......

My offsider whom some of you know I fought so hard for and who was recently promoted and gone to the Welshpool branch resigned today,...as well.

They are all deserting the Titanic as it goes down..... Things have been so bad this week. My Boss is due back Monday thankgod..... So many rumours around I was asked yesterday if I was off to Singapore to work with him...... ???? That would be cool..

The boss has been away suring up things for the BIG MOVE to another company but it has been so uncomfortable here, I will be having a speak to him early next week and will weigh up whether to leave or stay for a bit..... Not sure how long I want to stay at this rate....

So alot of confusion reigns... thats for sure I am hoping this week will be a little better than last.. Had a scrapping day yesterday which was lovely and got a couple of more pages of my October trip done so that was nice, too much chatting not enough production but who cares I needed that.......

This week I have another blood deposit to make mid week and thats it I think for now

Happy New Year to you all

Well we just got back on Friday from having been in KL for New Year we had a blast and saw the New Year in at the Renaissance Hotel Grand Ballroom..... it was so good we had a fantastic time with my sister and her hubby and my DH as well.

Hope your New Year was great too, must upload some chrissy and New year shots soon.

Am back to work tomorrow yukko !! but will be very intersting as my Boss resigned two days before the break so technically I have no boss not sure what this all holds for me so next few weeks will be interesting.

Leaving on a Jet Plane - Happy New Year

Hey All

I hope you and yours survived Christmas whereever you are..... We here in Perth only just it was 41 and 44 Chrissie Eve and Chrissie and 43 yesterday so we have well and truly got summer after it was MIA for a long time....

Hope Santa was good to you all and you were all well behaved. Well Steve and I and my sister and her hubby are flying out tonight to KL - Kuala Lumpur for New Years. Hi All

Well its been very traumatic in our house for the past 2 weeks with our DD - Sarah. Some of you may know has been seriously ill, with what was first thought to be ulcers x 2 in her left eye....OUCHY alright I hear you say. She has virtually been in a darkened room, for that time unable to see out of her eye and looked like she had done 10 rounds with Danny Green..... In the beginning also we thought meninjitous but it isnt thank goodness. But as this thing progressed we had her seen by an eye surgeon our opthamologist and our GP on many occassions. It turns out to be a very agressive form of conjungtivitus without the green stuff. So a bacterial version which is very serious can blind you and gives the effects of Ulcers in your eye.... It was explained as like pin pricks dragged across your eyeballs. I have never seen her in so much pain. Then if thats not enough her tonsilitis was so bad her throat closed over.....off to the GP again more anitbiotics and she is going in to have them out in the New Year as she does suffer alot with that.... But our troubles havnt finished there. The GP and Eye surgeon both advised no contact lenses. Well she is as blind as a bat and cant see. So getting glasses made when there is noone in Perth working. But alas my angel optomitrist came to our rescue and with a lot of bribery and corruption we now have a gorgeous sophisticated girl here with glasses..... She is very aprehensive with them as here previous experience was High School, had terrible acne, terrible braces and terrible glasses...... We will have to get her over the I look like a geek in them. Her mummy wears them her Nan, wears them and her aunty wears them all to different levels...

So apart from this still working full time until last Friday have done all the Chrissie shopping in amoungst the above dramas, had to finish Sarahs shopping due to not being able to see..... as well as food shopping thank god for Steve and Craig working full on at KMart and Mum's taxi. I am exhausted..... Today is the first day I have stopped. Went for a swim earlier and am off for Nanny nap before arvo tea with my good friends Connie and Dee.... Cooking also shortbread doing icing for my fruit cake making icecream upside down cake for desert for Xmas other than this its been pretty normal. We fly out on the 27th December for Kuala Lumpur for New Year and have not even thought about it yet. Just need to get over Xmas day and all will be good...... Leaving the kids home yikes !!! and going off with my sister and her hubby.

This year has been a really tough one for our family health wise and 2008 will be our year. Except for Sarahs tonsils.....

and to my family friends in Gladstone thinking of you on this anniversary of Laura.

Another week closer to ????

Well another busy busy week in our house last week and lots and lots happening.
Comings and goings with the Kids, and with ourselves. It just seems to be getting busier and busier each year. Lots of school activities, work activities and home life activities....

Went to the oral surgeon this last week as well that was not fun having my teeth scrapped again !! yukko but has to be done, now safe until March for my next round.
School finishes this week here hard to believe my baby is finishing Grade 10.... He is enjoy his work at KMart now, he gave up his Red Rooster job, that was good training for his first job, this is now closer to home, and at least airconditioned.
He was working in a non air conditioned kitchen and really feeling the heat.....

Sarah has been away house sitting for the past few weeks on and off, isnt it funny how you miss them when there not around to chat to you and be here for dinner. Best get used to that when she heads off overseas.... But I do miss her not being around. Cause then its me and the boys, even the pets are boys....OMG what to do !!!!

Had our works section Christmas drinks and dinner on Friday night, it was probably our last one altogether, was really special as we have this one guy who just wont go to anything he and I are friends outside work and I finally talked him into coming to this one as it maybe our last depending on our jobs future.... and he came we had such a great time. The boss made a gorgeous speach about me, so I did feel really important in his life. So that was nice. More christmas shopping yesterday and I have more to do, all the Chrissy cards are posted....

So thats our week from last week. Have included this weeks challenge in our 52 Pieces from CPC found this one a little challenging not sure why, this week too I have finsihed my Dads Album and am working on a OTP canvas for my SIL.... so busy busy still.

Beginning to Look alot like Christmas

Hi All

Well have had a super busy weekend here at our house. Last week got my blinds installed finally they look fantastic so that all good so all windows are clean and the new verticals are in before Christmas phew !!!

Our house is quite traditional even though the kids are not kids anymore..... So Sarah is away house sitting and came home specially to put up the tree on Saturday, all up and Craigs role is lights and helping with the decos, I so love this time the Chrissy CD was playing and they were having a ball.... it just so reminds me of when they were little. It was very gorgeous considering they are nearly 20 and 16 years old but we have always made this a big deal and major family time. So I guess this sticks.

Caught up with good friends on Saturday night for dinner, and drinks got home fairly late and up early today for another full day of it, with Scrapping, Christmas cards, vacuming ironing, visited my sister and did 2 challenges for CPC.....Watched the V8's of course as well. Soooo tired now and am off to bed, have a great week all.

My Dad had an awful experience on Saturday night went to a BBQ and one of his mates said he didnt feel well. As he is a diabetic everyone thought he had overdone it, he went to have a lie down and my Dad went to check on him, and lucky he did as he had a massive heart attack infront of my Dad, and lucky enough Dad had called an Ambulance and they brought him back twice in front of Dad...... This man was fine other than his diabeties, 42 years old now in tensive care. I feel so bad for my Dad as this time last year his best mate lost his daughter in Mackay on Chrissy Eve, so alot of memories for my Dad came flooding back......

The moral is tell the ones you love you love them, and dont let petty things come between you especially at this time of year.....

Been A While

Well its been so hectic with LIFE once again and only going to get worse I am thinking.......

Christmas is looming cards to write and parcels to post, swaps to post SS to arrange and lots more to do.....

Work wise our Company take over is a go !! So what does this mean for all of us could be out of work by Christmas. Lots of meetings and decisions to come and then we shall see. Come what may..... one door shuts another will open. Some people are quite worried others are not. Its a very difficult enviroment to work though there is so much uncertainty and this has been going on for months and months.

Family wise I have had DS - Craig in for a minor toe operation on an ingrown nail last week with 3 days off and DH -having some tests at present hoping alls well there we shall wait and see. My Darling Cousin is still battling breast cancer.
My Dad has been in hospital in QLD but is fine now, so a bit on in our lives.

I am having all new Vertical Drapes finally fitted after being in our house for a couple of years and hating the blinds and curtains..... Was luck enough to match up the ones in my kitchen and theatre room..so that was great and I have waited a long time...... Spent last weekend in MY scrapping room a huge overhall resort and design change... New verticals in there too so preparing really. Am donating some stuff to my good friends in the country with my excess.

Checking on my Mum, also and my sister has been away in QLD so overseeing some extra teenagers....

Well I think thats it for now have uploaded my last weeks challenge in my CPC challenge...... this has been keeping me busy and my mind off my troubles. Thanks Marg and Mish.....

Damn Puters !!!!!!

Well I have been computer LESS since last Tuesday and I was not amuzed, but gratefull all photos had been backed up. My computer hangs off the MAIN computer so I was a little less danger than the main computer thank god...... My DD however wasnt so lucky and had lost some 10 files with piccys in it...Lesson learnt always back up your photos... How many times do you hear that and think must do that and dont....

Other than this a busy busy week, Dental appointments, Drs appointments for DS, new job (KMART) for DS, after working in Red Rooster for a few months. Closer to home and Air Con.... makes a huge difference.

Sister came home from Cairns caught up today for a bit of shopping for Xmas and laybys.....Work takeover is about to happen they are now up to 44% shares taken at this time. So it is inevitable and could be out of work by Xmas..... OMG no not really doesnt worry me for now.

More time to scrap ! !! Except it doesnt pay the bills.

Anyhow lots to catch up on hope alls well
Have Layout # 3 on the drawing board and will upload photo tomorrow for the 52 pcs challenge at CPC....

The Week that Was

Well the weeks just seem to keep flying by only 44 days till christmas.
My where has this past year gone.....
Seems like only yesterday I was in that horrid leg brace having my knee done,
and with my Dad in may for his 70th birthday....

My how time flys.
This week of course was Melbourne cup week, we had a company lunch and the usual sweeps my horses are still running I am sure. Busy week at work with my assistant on holidays and my boss in China..... Our company takeover is now a definate go and they are sending a deligation to Perth from the UK this week. So that will be interesting for all of us. Senior Managers 1st get to meet them then the plebs...like me and my staff.

Other than this, my sister and hubbie are in Cairns for a family reunion and 50th Wedding event so I am keeping my parental eyes on my nieces and nephew..... Not too hard they are so grown up now.

Scrapping have been doing the CPC 52 pieces challenge # 2 I have attached and am really enjoying this.. so far. Also been making some Secret Santa stuff, trying to finish my Dads Album for Christmas and some other small gifts.... so a bit busy there

SO hope you had a great week and next week is another week closer to Christmas...

Few Weeks gone Bye

Time just gets in the way sometimes with things that go on in life.
I sit here tonight thinking what has kept me from updating why have I been so busy.
Its just LIFE and coming into Chrissy I guess that is getting worse and worse.

I dont think anything too earth shattering has happened. Other than as I have posted earlier, my company has definatley been bought over and we are all unsure of what the new company will bring to us or whether we will still have a job. Senior Managers have a meeting next Monday and the guys from Cape are coming out from the UK to meet and greet them. My boss is away this week in China on business and was told to be back for next weeks meeting. Who knows..... just unsettling.

My sister and hubbie are off to Cairns this weekend due to a family gathering for his family have been busy helping her put to gether a slide show video for the familys 50th wedding anniversary so that has kept both of us both busy and frustrated. It turned out great but was alot of work for us both. Big learning curve.

Today had a teeth specialist appointment for my gum disease and was in the chair for 2 and a half hours not fun and ended up with a major headache this afternoon it is very unpleasant and hurts alot but has to be done to safe my teeth.......

Other than this trying to start getting organise for my annual Chrissy letter that needs to go out and have started thinking about the family for Chrissy........

Am participating in a challenge at CPC called 52 pieces of me have done my first page. What a challenge about ME..... not too many photos about so this will be a challenge in itself.

Couple of people my darling Dad in hospital tomorrow love ya and I am sure all will be great.....My cousin in NZ battling breast cancer - Go Cathy Go !!!!!!
to a cyber friend who is battling a person loss you know who you are hang in there things can turn around but right now you are thinking it wont, but believe me from one who has been there it does.

Full on Week

Well hi to you all

This has been another incredibly busy week in our family AGAIN !!!!!

With work my boss was away and my other branch co-ordinator was rushed to Murdoch hospital with blood poisioning and ruptured appendix so I was it for the week so lots of extra responsibilities for me thats for sure.

Tuesday evening, was Isabella's last ever drama performance for school as she graduated yesterday. She was brilliant in this play and she is such the actress and drama girl thats for sure.

Wednesday evening, was Lynns 2nd lot of blood donation due to my haemacromotosis (fancy words for overloaded iron) so I give theraputic donations and they extra the iron and give to those that need it. It is a little bit of a process but all worth it you do feel like your helping someone elses life.

Thursday evening was out to get the graduation roses and some gifts for the girls who both graduated yesterday afternoon at the ceremony. Michael Hill jeweller was having a huge sale so got me some bargains for the girls...thats always great for a bargain.

Friday - was gradution night for her and I will copy and paste some info here on Issy B (my niece)

My darling niece Isabella ( who you have seen LO's on) was graduating today from Warwick Senior High School...... This young lady is a very talented performer, has auditioned for WAPA (Western Australia Performing Arts) in dance and drama. She also has been in a relationship for 1 and a half years. How brave is this. The so and so boyfriend rang her last night (night before Grad) and called it off. Her first love and she was devastated. In bucket loads of tears, eyes all puffing wasnt going to the Grad Brekky or function this afternoon. So after much talking and getting consold they all went. Me unfortunatley could be there ( I was shattered due to my work committments) So Craig my DS and Steve my DH went along DD - Sarah couldnt be there either.

Well surprise surprise, Isabella not only was annouced Dux of the grade 12's but DUX of the Wholley Assessed School. She won major awards in the Dance, Arts, Math English and Drama. She blitzed them all.

So one door shuts another will open. Well done honey we are all so proud of you.. tough life lesson but life does go on. !!!!

So thats the week that was to my good friend and work colleague Jo hope your feeling better soon. To Issy B (my darling neice) one door shuts another will hope honey !!!! To my cousin Cathy over the ditch in NZ hang in there hun I know its a long road but we all love you and encourage you from afar... !!!

Well my birthday was just gorgeous really considering I had to work I have got some lovely bits and pieces spoilt rotten but as you do !!! had the family over Friday night and went to breakky today with my sister and hubbie... so nice to do

Also this weekend was a Cyber crop for CPC who were out at Bruce Rock, we played Bingo and did LO's played in the pretend place we like to go and had a great lot of fun

Wat a Week & My Birthday !!!!1

Well where do I start, Monday was my first day at work...... 389 emails to come back to and a mountain of work. My colleague at work the 2IC at the other branch was not feeling well on Monday and went home early. By Tuesday I had 2 colleagues in Hospital one with concusion and the other with blood poisoning from a ruptured appendix...... !!!! Tuesday was a normal day really lots of catching up of work load and rumours about my Company being taken over, as we were suspended on the ASX on Monday....... Sure enough Wednesday its out its real the company thats been trying to buy us has finally swayed the board to sell at $1.40, theres a long way to go but looks like a sell out......

Lots of stress in our divisions as the company buying it doesnt do FORMWORK which is where I work....:( not sure what will happen. I had the pleasure on Wednesday evening to meet Mish, Anna, and the lovely Julie and Sharon over for the big CPC Scrapping at the Rock in Perth WA..... we had a ball went out for dinner with Anna and her kids and the others what a night it was.....

Thursday was annouced all our shares will be bought if we choose to sell. My 2 colleagues still in hospital, 1 comes out the other is still there.

Then today of course is my BIRTHDAY normal hectic day at work and lots to do, got spoilt rotten at work, choccies, flowers, and gifts and had the family over tonight to catch up. Just lovely had a very busy day but a good day in all.

SO hope to do some Cyber Cropping this week end at CPC thanks for stopping by

I am BACK !!!!!

Hi All

Well we are back after our FABULOUS 2 weeks vacation on our long awaited FAMILY holiday. We came back in one piece all 4 of us, we only got into ATTACK mode a couple of times and the KIDS did so well not to lose it with each other after having 2 weeks of sharing a room and being confined in planes and airports as well. So as a FAMILY we had a great time as individuals we had a great time.

My liver is on REHAB my waistline is on a DIET and all in all a great time.
Of course back to work today..... YUKKO but its an ends to a means and lots of things going down there. So this is all very horrid. Our company was suspended trading today on the ASX due to a pending announcement, some of you who know me know that there has been a bid going on for 6 months or more, this company had also contacted us all and tried to get us to sell out our own company so its been quite stressfull. Been away those few weeks thought it might die down but alas no... So thats not great.

BUT this week I get the opportunity to meet some very inspirational people who are coming to WA for the CPC Camp for this weekend. Of course I cant go to camp because its my BIRTHDAY dont tell anyone, and family commitments... But anyway so on Wednesday evening I get to meet some cyber friends yahoooooooo Cant wait !!!!!

So other than this I need to download some photos and get my Sh 1 t together and post them. My DS had his 16th just before we left they get so grown up. Must share with this as well

A Week of Ups and Downs

Well another busy week has gone by us again......

The week at work has been so busy and also VERY stressful. For some of you whom visit me often I fought so very hard for an offsider and I am losing her to our Welshpool branch.... Alas I recommended her for the PROMOTION and PAY RISE so for her I am happy for me, well its put paid to my idea of only working 4 days a week this will now not happen. For Andrea I am excited she will take on a new role and more variety. She was employed initially to help retrieve major monies from the Government which she has done very successfully so thats great but they are RESTRUCTURING the branch and so there you have it I was a little distressed at first but have now had some time to think on it. We shall see how we go. Also had trouble with my hip for the past 2 weeks. seems my orhotics are out of whack since my knee surgery So have both my feet taped for a week to see if this releives my hip and so far it has slightly...... Have to go back next week before we FLY out for our Fantastic FAMILY holiday the kids are so excited.

Also this week my Darling baby boy is turning 16 on Wednesday. Seems like only yesterday they were telling me no KIDS at all and I have 2 I am so blessed they grow up so quickly I have learnt alot from Craig he is a very special child. Teaches me things all the time and I am so pleased both Sarah and Craig are excited about our FAMILY holiday...... the last one probably ever as Sarah is looking to go to Camp America next year.

So we have had a Family dinner last Saturday night (who forgot the camera) !!!! typical. Family coming over Wednesday, so will get some shots then. He is so tall and grown up.... :))
We have then only got Thursday for last minute stuff and then we fly out FRIDAY morning for Bangkok and Phuket cant wait.

Great Weekend

Hey All

What a weekend we have had. Firstly was given EAGLES tickets to Fridays game, but had to give them away to my boss a DOCKERS supporter OMG....... As we all went as a family to see my gorgeous talented niece ISSY B, perform in her final dance concert for grade 12 at her school. OMG what little star she is she performed just brilliantly and we were all so proud of her she did so well. She did lots of group performance she choreographed lots of numbers she did a SOLO (just brilliant) and she won overall dancer of the school So talented.... Hope she doesnt throw it all away.

So that was Friday evening, Saturday my little car had its first major service.... that was cool. Went and did some shopping for my DS - whos birthday it is next week....before we go overseas. He is so excited about turning 16 then going on Hols overseas... Then Saturday evening got to catch up with our good friends Debbie and John and went out to dinner then back to there house to watch the rugby go the Aussies.. Then today, got to take my Mum out for a coffee in Mindarie Marina - by the waterside it was just a gorgeous day then home to watch the V8's go the FORDS then had Mum stay for dinner.....

Very hectic and now only 11 days till we go away. Lots to do in the mean time.

More Good Luck and Better week

Hi All

Well this week has been slightly better for me, but not the kids, have had both
Craig and Sarah come down with this horrid bug. Craig has been home nearly a week as well from School, Sarah only had a touch of it thank goodness. I am off the the chemist to get some accidophelous to build me back up stil feeling quite weak rally but count down till the holiday has begun......

Kids are very excited and I am starting too. Very busy weekend this weekend coming and then another hectic week at work to follow.
My little sister is very unwell. Sis take good care hun. HUGS she has influenza B and is very ill. Not sure quite what they will do with her.

My trophy for winning the footy tipping came this week lovely surprise thanks MISH.
Also won tickets in a radio comp for the new movie HAIRSPRAY and so I let my DD - Sarah and her girlfriend go , they loved it said it was fabulous. So it has been a lucky week maybe need to buy a lotto ticket. Well hopefully this weekend off to Araluen with Mum, as had to postpone last week due to illness. Off out to dinner and also my lovely neice Bella is having her FINAL performance for her school dancing unit as she is finishing grade 12. Cant believe my little Bella is finishing school

Sick Again !!!!

Well

As some of may know, only last week I was struck down with this gastro thing. And its BACK !!!! was fine for a few days and wham took a turn on Sunday evening and I was literally on the loo all early hours of Monday and most of Monday. My DH was so worried he also came home to make sure I was ok Its horrid it really is. My GP says sometimes these things just stay in your system..... Great. I am going O/S in a few weeks. Need to get better.

Anyhow other than this alls good, have started my Dads album for him and am on a bit of a mission about that for now. I also just found out today that at the Scrap Heap Forum - I won the AFL footy tipping comp. I NEVER WIN anything. So am a bit excited about that to Jody and to Bev Congrats as well.

Other than this no more news for now.
Trying to lay low for a few days and hopefully back on track soon

A very Poorly week

Well here I am at home for the second day in a row, with this awful bug...... No not the flu like you might expect but with this Gastro thing, feel like I have been hit by a bus... No inspiration at all for anything everything aches from head to foot. .
:((

Other than this the move with Mum was a success although the boys had a little accident they dropped a piece of glass out of one of her tables, but thats repairable. She has had the housing guy out and inspected and is getting a few minor repairs sorted. We were all worried about the windows... But they have agreed to silicone them in so they cant get them out....... So thats great. A peep hole for the front door we will do and other than this she is set. So finally she wont be so cash strapped paying exobitent rent for a granny flat. She has got it looking great already. I knew she would. She just has to come to terms with being in the suburb she is in as it has a bad name, but I have friends who have lived there for 15 years and never had a problem....

Kids are well my DS has started his first job (bit late nearly 16) sister was working at 14 but he is a boy..... Red Rooster and he loves it. The lady who is his supervisor rang me to say what a gorgeous child he was and never gave her lip and she has 20year olds that do, Proud Mumma moment..... He did well and is earning a wee bit more pocket money for the big holiday coming up soon. DD is still working with the kids and loving it.... She also has taken on another job at nights with babysitting so she is always busy. I just won Best MUMMA points got her and her girlfriends tickets to JT (justin) how near impossible just that I was home and sick and got them..... !!!!

Apart from this a normal week and the kids have started the count down today for the trip as its 30 something days to go......

The Week that Was

Hi All

Well another flat out week at the Parkys place. As some of you know my Mum a pensioner has been on the WA State housing for over 55's for 2 years now. Well whilst Steve and I were in QLD she was offered a place. We were quite concerned when she told us where, as the suburb hasnt got the nicest wrap. But the street is nice and the units are ground floor and didnt look to bad from outside....... OMG what was I thinking. It was disgusting inside, so for the past week and a bit we have been scrubbing and cleaning and getting ready to move her tomorrow......

But it is amazing what a little bit of elbow grease a few new clean white blinds and some curtains can do..... It will be quite sweet and she will get it all prettyied up when she gets in there. So thats kept me very busy since being back. So each night we have gone to her little flat and packed up bits for her. The landlord is being a right a.......hole as well. She is nearly 70 and he speaks to her like crap........ Had to bite my tongue. Anyhow. She will be saving nearly $150 a week in rent as she rents privately up until today......
So the big move is tomorrow and then out for dinner tomorrow night as it was my nephews 20th birthday this week. Then collapsing on Sunday due to all of this stuff. before going back to work on Monday. Least it isnt going to be raining so thats great news.

During the week also Mish, got me onto this new site called Scrap the Pets, and guess what Tracy was kind enough to put my 2 layouts on there..... SO there you go I was thrilled to see them on there.

Am Back in Perth

Hi All

Just thought I would update this Blog for you all. We arrrived back home here in Perth today after the funeral for Steves dad was Monday and yesterday a meeting with the family for sorting out some bits and pieces.

We are both emotionally drained and its a long flight back to Perth at this time of year nearly 6 hours....... Both back to work tomorrow so roll on Saturday and Sunday.

Once again to those of you that sent me wishes through other friends sms and emails and messages both here and CPC I truly am blessed to have you all in my life.

We are all hoping to move on to some normality in our lives and counting down till our Overseas holiday in 7 weeks time. Something for us all to smile about,

Time has Come

As some of you know that visit me here, I have been very distracted and MIA for a little while. Our lives have been tipped upside down in the past few weeks with Family and Friends issues that were greater than us, so I found myself having to withdraw from alot of things to concentrate on the family and friends that needed me and our attention.

Our good friend Kay (hugs)) is still battling with what has happened to her husband and this as been up and down for a while. For us it was the call we got some 4 weeks ago now in the middle of the night. Steve's dad had been raced to the hospital in QLD and they were unsure he would make it through the night. This put the panic into all our lives. So we had that do we go do we stay thing for a while and 2 days later Steve left on his journey. One of the hardest things I have had to do was say goodbye to him and send him on that plane. So I did and threw myself into work and play. Then I get the call to go back to the skin specialist as they are worried about 3 areas on my body for the big C, as I have had bowel C, before they need to be extremely careful. So over the last few weeks we have had biopsy's taken and get the results Friday. In the mean time Steves Dad has slipped into a Coma and there was not a great prognosis. Steve came home after saying his goodbyes, very very hard.

This then went on for another 2 more weeks and on the weekend just gone we got another desperate call about Ray not going to make it. That was Sunday and finally on Monday evening he lost his battle and it was over......... But only really to begin from here. Steve and his family are very disjointed and it is going to be extemely difficult funeral and aftermath. We are flying out early hours Saturday and having a family meeting Sunday the funeral is Monday. Ray is now longer in pain and the indignity he had suffered is now gone. To all a blessing, but never the less a real shock. So between me and my scare and this it has been a difficult 4 weeks.

Hopefully after next week we can move on and count down till our holiday in OCTOBER cant wait. Will be holding onto that thought.

One last thing I did mention this before but to all my cyber friends, who have emailed sms'd, sent messages to the wonderful truly amazing guys at CPC thanks for the most gorgeous flowers and wishes, you know who you are. I am truly blessed for having these friends in my life. I am hoping once back from QLD to rejoing my life a little

Long Time no See

Hi All

I know I have been missing in action for quite some time. We have some major family stuff happening with Steves Dad in Brisbane and it has been an extremely traumatic time for us here in WA. To say the least so I thought I would just post and let all my great friends who have sent me emails and text messages thanks.

This situation is still going on and next week another step in the chapter will take place we are all hoping a step in the right direction. So I will not be about alot but to say THANKS again for your hugs and wishes. It is so comforting in this time of deep distress.

Proud Mumma Moment to Cherish !!!!

Hey all

Gosh have not been here in a while have had a tough time personally again with some issues that have taken over in my life. But am slowly getting back on top. But wanted to share the below post I did on my DS -Craig he is a truly loving child always has been and is coming into his own at nearly 16 he has never been any trouble and always responsible and now growing up fast he is 6ft 6 tall and size 12 shoes gosh where will he stop this is for you my love.

Well my DS - Craig is a really quiet achiever, we have always called him that at home and he is one of these kids that gets bullied and picked on as he is the NERD or BRAIN of the group. He isnt a NERD just a very smart teenager........
So we had some issues early on in HS with bullying. But to his credit he has stuck it out and he brought home is REPORT today and OMG what a Brain Box, obviously gets brains from DADS side of the family.......

All A's and a C in Woodwork which doesnt matter, these marks are critical for his TEE for next year in GRADE 11 so we are thrilled this will hopefully hold him in good stead for his recommendations for his TEE - he wants to be a Physcologist or Social Worker, he has always helped the more unforturnate and is doing Community Service with the young Lions.

Craig has taught me so much he suffers terribly with acne as did his sister and being a pubesant teenage boy has handled things extremely well. He says I am his hero, but he is mine never gives up and never gives in. Thats his motto.....

Sorry off my box now. Tks for listening. Made my week after all the c..........y things that have been going on Kids just make you see things in such a different light. !!!

How cruel life can be

This is a post I made earlier in the week I thought I would share this is just so tragic and it breaks my heart, I have had a tough week due to this news below and have lost my mojo a little. Did manage to scrap today a LO of the fabulous Chrissy and I when I was in Brisvegas !!!! in the TSH Gallery and CPC as well. I hope you like it Chrissy if you pop in.....

I had a call to day from a really close friend and when my girlfriend called she just burst into tears...... Knew immediatley it was Ray her hubbie.

To paint the picture this man served his country in the Air Force like Steve my hubby, and recently about 3 years ago faced losing his leg due to a tumor in his bone in one of his legs. He went for a second opinion and was the recipient of the first ever bone transplant in WA done by Professor Wood who happens to be Dr Fiona Woods (bali burns doctors) brother. It was just amazing that he kept his leg had chemo and learnt to walk again.

Ray was on the road to recovery and all good he is such an inspiration to all that know him. for me a cancer survivor too I know how hard it is having been there done that but nothing like Ray.

Then today when Kay called Ray has had a stroke last week and is paralised down one side, and is being moved from RPH to Shenton Park for further treatment. My heart just sank and I thought to myself that isnt the world a cruel place some times, these people just are the salt of the earth type and are just fabulous and have come through so much and now for this........

Again makes you appreciate just how short life is. Enjoy hold on and dont take anything for granted cause it just can be cut short so quickly.... thanks for listening....

Hopefully things can get better for them and Ray starts to improve but to this date he has not. Hugs and thoughts my darling Kay...... and to Ray, honey we have been there done that keep up the fighting spirits.... Love to you

The week that was !!!!

Well been flying by this last few weeks. I have been so very busy at work again, or still....... Since my Anniversary I have been to the skin specialist and the physio and so kept me busy.

The skin specialist there is more to do and I have to have some biopsy's taken in July yukky !!!!! but has to be done, whilst I was there had 2 things dry iced now doesnt that hurt yep !!!! So am looking a bit blistery at present.

I have attached a photo of Steve and I for our anniversary Page for this year.
My good friend Connie is off to Germany tomorrow and I will miss her but am so
jealous. Lucky girl who wasnt going but is now off with her Hubby to Germany..... pity he has to work but she will have fun no doubt.

Happy Anniversary

Well its my Anniversary 26years on the 6th June yeah !!!! Last year my darling and I went to Thailand to celebrate 25 years this year a very low key event but of course saving madly for Thailand and Bangkok soon with the kids

Just wanted to share

By the time all read this tomorrow it will be my Anniversary. I am married to the most amazing man, he is my best friend, my lover, husband and Dad to our kids a fantastic DAD, he served his country in Iraq twice, and we love him to bits we are so very proud of him and what he has brought to ours lives living all over Australia and Asia and NZ and I just wanted to share just that........

26 years married 2 darling children whom I adore and they said it wouldnt last and I wouldnt have kids. I have been given the most wonderful gift in Steve and my kids and I am so grateful for every day for that.

Busy Weekend

Well what a weekend it has been (of course for us in the WEST) a public holiday today as well so have more time to Scrap and shop and have family over and catch up with a girlfriend on the phone.

So all in all a busy one. Bought a new mobile phone well on a plan anyhow DH needed a new one and when I was there I thought why not. The kids change them like there undies but I have had mine for a while so thought why not. So we both were like 2 kids in a lolly shop, got home and had the kids set them up. So technologically minded yeah right.....They were going did you know your phone does this and that and we were just pleased we could see the buttons !!!!!

Anyhow thats that, we also went out for dinner as it is my DH and I's 26th Anniversary this week and its so hard in the week to go out so we went on Saturday to our favourite Mexican restaurant....with my sissy and her husband, that was nice.
Last night had the Family over for roast dinner first time we have all caught up since QLD and today have scrapped and caught up with a friend who we are seeing next Saturday evening for there anniversary. Other than this work work and work.
Am starting physio back this week and thats it for now

Being a Good Friend...............

Just wanted to share something.

A few of you know my young assistant at work lost her Dad a mere month ago..... Today was her 22nd Birthday. I was so proud of her the way she handled herself with everyone at work, but privately with me she was a mess. We all had a morning tea for her (as everyone gets one) and of course I bought her a small gift.

The profound thing that came out was she said to me you know this is the very first time ever my Dad hasnt been around for my birthday..... Well that just bought tears to my eyes and we hugged...... I said to her ah but this is the first birthday that dad is watching you from above.... She has to make the terrible journey tomorrow to NSW (family is from there) and take his ashes with her Mum.... She is very sceptical about that too as she feels she has moved forward a little and now taking a big step back.... so mature for a 22year old as well. She is so brave and yet so vulnerable

Her comment to me was (even thought I am her boss as well as her friend ) with friends support both work and outside work friends it does help you ease the pain and suffering a little......

So just goes to show support from friends is vital. Hang onto your friends hug them and cherish them tell them how you need them as you never know when you might need one yourself. A friend that is.

Bad Week......................

Hey All

Well after having such a fabo time in sunny QLD I have had the week from h.....l
here in WA with my job. Been so bad I nearly threw it all in because of all the STRESS that I have been under so unfair...and not paid to put up with that cr.....p

To boot we had to have a world wide stocktake meaning starting at 6.30 am and going until 6pm for Thursday and Friday so with my bad leg and being on it for those hours you can imagine the pain I am in today trying to recover. There was also the threat of working today Saturday !!! which in the end did not happen.Thank God We had a couple of people weasle out of the stocktake with flimsy excuses !!!! Anyhow will hang in till the end of the year due to our holiday in October and then if no good will look further afield. Just dont need the stress.

On a lighter note have down loaded some photos from my camera of Dads party, my best friend Lou, and some photos of Chrissy and I as well. Hope you like them.....I have heaps to do in my scrapping room and hope to do some layouts soon.
Hope your weekend is going well. Its been raining here today and dont we need it.
I have done a wee bit of shopping at CPC as well......Big sale on this weekend.

I'm Back

Hey All

Well I am back in chilly WA after my big trip to QLD for the week.
What a week it was, so many highlights the Shack by the Sea, was our retro 70s style cabin where my sister and BIL and I stayed in Margate. My cousins arriving from NZ just after getting married and coming to Dads for her honeymoon, my other family and friends whom we had not seen in 20 odd years or so. The outings with the family and friends. The dinners and then caught up with my very dear friend Lou out on her property for a few days. It was like we had never been apart. Then I got to meet the fabulous Chrissy and some of the girls from TSH, at SWIG just called in for an hour and got to meet with them.
Such a thrill and honour.

I will down load some photos tomorrow and some scrapping will occur. To you all that left me messages I thank you

Very Big Week for ME

Well this is the week am so excited, but have so much to do at work and home before I get on that Plane on Thursday to Brisvegas..... I so cant wait to see my Daddy after 5 years its so exciting and he is (I hear very shitty we are not coming) !!!!
sssshhhhhh hahahah......

Am still not very well with this bug but alot better than last week. SO thats good for flying anyhow. My DH Steve had sneakily booked Business class and I feel very spoilt. So have lots of work at work to get through and at home I have not packed but I did manage to shop and have a top and pants organised and some new shoes.
I have managed the toenail painting are going to QLD after all and our accommodation and hire car booked.

So I am not sure I will update again so to you all seeyou when I get back.

Being Sick :(

Well here I am at home (not very often either does this happen) but further to my last post, was not improving so went to the docs, yesterday and seems the chicken has set off a truly awful stomach virus, with the most awful cramping and violently ill feeling. So some days off work and resting, so does give me a chance to get on with some scrapping.
I did finish my Dads canvas, and it has come up good, I am quite proud of myself and with Mish's encouragement finished it....
Anyhow its raining out my window and cold and wet so am going to do some scrapping as I can do this with hot water bottle plastered to my tummy......

The Week that Was

How are you all. Some of the girls have gone to Kiwiscraps and some have not.....like us here in WA. Well had the such a busy time the past 2 weeks at work with out my Andrea by my side, hopefully she is back this week. We had a delegate of high powered visitors from Indonesia to work and had to the PA thing and organise tours and hospitality and all, anyhow aside from this we do monthly lunch. So that was on friday, we had chicken and guess who has been head and b.......m down the toilet all weekend. Except for my photographics last night as my gorgeous Isabella graduation ball was on, and I was asked to take the photos.... So all in all I did that in between running (if you get my drift)..

Have been on the gastrolite and drinking plenty of water, so am contemplating a day off tomorrow as I am so exhausted we shall see. Consequently got to watch the Aussies in the cricket and spent most of the night there or the bathroom.

I am trying to finish a canvas that I am attempting for my Dad and have lost a bit of mojo lately as well except for my cyber crop last weekend at Country Papercrafts

Other than this its been raining here in Perth most of the afternoon. My hopes some rain goes out to Marg and Mish they need it too and to QLD where my family is as well. Out where my SIL' farm is they have been in drought for 7 years....How they cope is beyond me. Thats life on the land I guess.

To my darling step Mum, hope the arms holding up ok. To those special people that visit and send me messages thanks. Love to you all I truly appreciate your comments.

Lest we Forget - Anzac Day

This is such a special day for all our family with Steve being ex military after 26 years and a returned service member from Iraq...

Iraq was a very hard assignment with many many months for us here with no contact.
I guess for there safety this still goes on today but not to such a greater degree.
To all the members serving here and afar. God Bless stay safe.

Each year Anzac Day brings tears and joy to this family with Steve's family heavily involved in Anzac ceremonies in QLD and here in WA with Steve and my BIL - who is also ex Defence here in WA. It is so pleasing to see the young ones as well knowing how much this means to the older generation it is great to see.

I hope you enjoyed and had a great Anzac Day

Hoping for a better News Week !!!

Well have been extremely lax as I have had a tough mental place right now.

I guess for me with this thing with Andrea, brought back lots of memories of my issues and how things were for my family when I was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer......

It made be re-analise things going on around me and what is truly important in our lives. The funeral was Friday and Andrea the poor little love was a total wreck, it finally hit her and me to in a different way - she was such a blubbering little girl, Hugs all round, I spoke briefly with her Mum and sister and told her sister to give her time to grieve and I didnt want to see her back til she was feeling able to come back. (so flat out for me but I thank god have not just lost my dad)

Short week this week as well.

Then we get the new that my step mum's surgery for her shoulder has been brought forward and the back surgery pushed out......(not good either way) So she goes under the knife tomorrow.
I could here my Dad now saying just cancel this stupid party...dont need it and we are all saying inwardly NO NO you cant do that. I spoke with Dad tonight and to speak with Daph before she goes in tomorrow...... Told Dad she would just be able to sit there as everthing has been done, what a sigh of releif as not only have I sorted us out from the West and NZ but also other people coming from his past as well that he has no idea about that havnt seen him for 20 years or more. Anyhow I think we are over that cancelling thing for now.....

So havnt scrapped at all, also having a small issue here in WA that we are hoping to sort soon. So all in all not a good head space

So hoping for a better news week

Bad News / Good News

Unforntunatley today Andrea's Dad passed away. Her sister Kell flew from the UK and their Dad hung on until Kell got here they had half an hour together and then it was over. Apparently very peacefully at the end considering the previous circumstances.

It does make you realise that life is so short this man was not terribly old and this all start as a melanoma, so get your skin checked dont bake in the sun for too long and take care of yourselves. You have one life to live and you make the most of every day as you never know the minute.

The good news is that he did not suffer at the end and it was quite peaceful

Hug your family and tell the ones you love that you love them often.....

Crappy Day

Well another crappy day today, poor Andrea called me early hours her Dad is struggling to hold onto life, her sister is doing a mercy dash from the UK arrives tomorrow and dad still holds on. I feel so bad for her poor luv. Not much anyone can do now unfortunately....So thats how my day started got worse from there, had stuff happening at work that shouldnt happen

Had a GP's appointment myself and a physio this afternoon so am really tired. Another text tonight from Andrea he is still hanging in there. Boss is having a few days with his kids who he hasnt seen for 3 weeks and the other branch manager is away in JKT again......
So very hectic and now my leg is exhausted.

One piece of good news another relative for Dads surprise is coming from NZ so the numbers are gathering and he has no idea !!! yahoo !! its getting closer now.

Hope tomorrow is a better one.

Footy Fever / Guess what its RAINING !!!!

Hi all

Well yes of course went to the footy yesterday with DD - Sarah who had never been to a live game. We had a lovely day went on the train there and back to avoid the parking hassle....SO there we were amongst all that purple haze stuff....

It was a great game and glad the Eagles won.

It is finally RAINING HERE IN PERTH all day started at lunch time and thank goodness has kept going. SO I have been scrapping up a storm and getting some DC done as through the week am so busy. So I think I am right up to date now. So thats cool thought I would try to do that this month and see how I went.

Sarah went to Radio Lollipop today to volunteer for her first time> this process has taken the longest time and finally the BIG day. She was so thrilled had a great time and is not allowed of course to talk about her patients but how cool. Radio Lollipop is at the PMH hospital for Kids here in Perth. She started this process some 6 months ago and she finally is a team member....so thrilled for her.

My thoughts to my darling assistant at work Andrea whos Dad is now in HD unit and is not doing so good hugs and angel wishes :)) Glad Tess all went well and K is doing really well now for Mish as well. To the darling Chrissy thanks for the ever encouraging words. You made my day today....thanks hun

Short Week is Over

Well what a week it has been even though its been short. Quite eventful with one thing and another in the family thats for sure.

Had a huge argument with the real estate we booked with in QLD for Dads surprise. They sold the units on us and moved us to another place without asking us, ditched us to a 2nd real estate agent who called me and sounds like a right b............ch
so anyhow after using my very nasty business PA voice, got it sorted but for a while looked like we my sis and I and her hubby would be sleeping at Suttons beach literally......anyhow crisis avoided.

Step mum still awaiting her news we all hold our breath on this hopefully early next week with that one. My best girlfriend in Melb - Dad diagnosed with liver cancer and my heart and thoughts go out to her and her family. My leg has been giving me hell as our Physio appointments have been getting harder and harder. But thats a good thing in a way so I can get back up the stairs at work and back to my own office. and also to walk into my Dads party unaided...... So its a good BAD if that makes sense.
My assistant Andrea her Dad has been moved to HD unit at Charlies, which is High Dependency thats not good and is leaking spinal fluid....so its been a really tough short week

to take her thoughts off this we have arranged some tickets for her and her girlfriend to come to the Derby tomorrow with Sarah and I, should be fun Girlies at the foooty........

My thoughts to Mish, hope you and K are doing better now and Tess, whom I feel like I know through Aussies and her Blog, is feeling better and the pain is short lived and her fab smile will be back in no time.

Thats it for now, it is supposed to rain on Sunday here fingers crossed and I need to do some scrapping

Scrapping up an Easter Bunny Storm

Well just wanted to pop in an sing my own praises.......no joking

I did do rather well this weekend considering. We had the PARKYS annual clean and sort out the shed what a disaster that shed was, now not so..should have taken before and after shots. He is such a horder (if thats how it is spelt.) never know when it will be handy...... !!!!! so we organised a skip out the front and by gosh is it full. So that was task 1 task 2 was the landscaping around the pool Each year at this time roughly we go through and thin out and clean up the dead palm frongs and so forth. So that was task 2 and that was finally achieved today. So in amongst this there was the usual family gathering yesterday for Easter huge meal and way to many choccies, ironing and some resting read a bit of a book and then scrapping too.

Normally for me the Daily challenges are a bit beyond me as working full time but I thought I would give it a go and after joining over at Aussies recently thought I would give it a go. Had completed 8 Daily Challenges and VCrops 4 so I was very pleased with my efforts all round. I have a huge scratch on my arm from clippers missing a branch and catching my arm...... My leg is very sore and am off really early to bed a very busy week ahead at work

Next weekend have secured DERBY tickets for the AFL - West Coast and Freo. Taking Sarah as she has never been to a game so a girlies day at the footy.....Should be fun.

LO's Completed

Well just goes to show how some LO's make you feel. Today I have completed my photo swap photos for TD. I have saved some other photos off the camera and will do something with them later, have sorted in my scrap room and yesterday got the chance to go to LSS and finish up my Credit I had there and buy some bits which I came home with and inspired me to get going again......

After the most awful few weeks this was just what I needed. Also took some me time getting my nails finally done. So that was a treat too. Got back into playing with Susan and Julie at TSH fun and games and left some messages on the boards. All in all very productive. I have a horrendous week ahead but hey 4 days off at the end.

Tough Times

Hey all

Well have not been on here for some time, I have been going through an extremely tough time, some of you know some may not. Anyhow not going to get all worked up on here surfice to say it is on going and I am going to try to just take baby steps with all these issues and hopefully will get through soon.

Work has been full on as well with both my boss and the other branch manager being away so Lynn to the rescue thats been keeping me out of mischief as well.

Sarah is ploughing her way through her course and loving it in no time she will be a Personal Trainer and on her way to her next adventure.

On a brighter note, we have paid our deposit for our big Family trip in October to Phuket and Bangkok with the kids..So exciting, then at New Year Steve and I are off on our own to KL for New Year cant wait for this as well.

Brisbane is still on however may have a change of plan there but we will know in 2 weeks time what the go is there.

My leg is still constantly reminding me that I aint fit enough yet for a marathon but time will tell. Still doing major physio 2 times a week, acupuncture as well and pool exercise. Off to see the surgeon next week. So that will be good to get a guide on my progress.

Looking forward to family time at Easter.

Our XXXX Angel

Well today we had the joy of having our XXXX Angel girl with us for short while whilst she had a day off here in Perth. Steve's niece is one of the XXXX Angels who have been travelling Australia, probably coming to a town near you. She is a former Jupiters Casino gala dancer and has tried out for Moule Rouge.....She is beautiful but we are biased..

We picked her up for brunch and did Kings Park and South Perth, thought of TD and Mish as my last effort of this was with them. Mel, was so thrilled to see us all too and to see a bit more of a city than the Hotel and Pubs and Clubs.
Pretty full on whilst she is here. She was here recently for the beach cricket but of course I couldnt see her as I was in my brace.

So just wanted to share and I will do a LO when I print some photos.

A Short Week

Well here we are at Friday again. Am very tired this week been very full on AGAIN
at work. Boss away travelling again and its always so busy....

Had a week of it with Physio and acupuncture for my leg. Its hard work and I am starting to see a small improvement as is the Physio. But it is a long slow process.
Have had DH home all week with raging Migranes and DS home with flu so Its been very very hectic.

I did DRIVE MY CAR for the first time in 10 weeks this week. Did feel very weird but am getting there. DD - Sarah has started with the Institute for Fitness and loves her course. She also is doing Gymbus with the kids at schools and loving it. SO all finally falling into place for her.

SO thats the week in general. Hoping my good friend Connie is back home and hoping to catch up with her soon.

Hi All

Well I am home from work today have had a rough day and bit and bad night so decided against work today..... So here I am to update on our fabulous visit by the gorgeous Tassie Deb, and organised by the Wonderful MISH........

The ladies came and picked the invalid up at 9am and the girls had spend the night chatting and having camera lessons...Same camera for both of them. We went and did a scenic tour of our lovely city and took TD to Kings Park, and for those who have been to Perth this is the best vantage point to look at our city and river. Then we were off to The Boat Shed for our meeting with some of the other girls from WA. It was such a special day and we got to me
Anna, Janelle, Vicki and her lovely baby boy from down south, Nicole, Marg - all the way from the country and of course myself Mish and TD. We just chatted and had coffee then rolled into lunch and before we knew it was 2pm. So some of us decided we were going to check out a
Scrapping shop, (which I had not been too) that was really cool too, then we went and had coffee in East Perth with TD and the girls dropped me home. By this time 5pm so was really special
and so nice to put faces to names that you see posting at TSH.

We all swapped ideas and information. Mish made the most gorgeous canvas for Deb, and Anna made me a special something too. Just lovely.

I have girls - who were there applied to get onto Aussies not heard anything as yet. I presume you get a message to say your on and then some emails start coming ??? Maybe someone could clue me up on that bit.

So that was my lovely Saturday. Deb and I also caught up on a family friend who ironically her children do athletics with Debs kids (how bizare) small world in Tassie.

Had a great day but paid for it on Sunday, my leg and ankle had swollen beyond belief and had spent the day trying to get the swelling down and a really bad night last night and home today as just could not face the office today.

OMG - the Brace is OFF !!!! 6 weeks

Hey all

Well went to the surgeon yesterday for some Xrays and bloods to check on the leg and yes the BRACE is off, but not quite celebrating yet. The leg is so week and in pain that I am still not allowed to drive for now, maybe in a few weeks with my intensive physio..... I will wait and see.

So you become so very dependant on the brace and it is amazing how much mind over matter comes into play thats for sure. I am very hesitant on it. I still have my crutches and the pressure stocking for the leg. But thats it for now and hopefully we can keep on the improve.

On the home front my DD - Miss Sarah who has been an angel driving her mummy to work everyday looks like she has landed not 1 but 2 jobs of which will fit in with her Fitness course starting in March so thats great news she has tried so hard for this. She also starts this weekend with Radio Lollipop in the Princes Margaret hospital for sick kids.... We are so proud of her on this one as it is very hard to get into, lots of screening and interviews and only certain people are taken on, she has had to do blood tests and all sorts or screenings... Thats exciting too.

On the job front I have had a horendous 2 weeks and this week some more tears, so not travelling to well there, I think I am tired still not sleeping well full time job and mummy person it all is full on I guess and major leg surgery. So I am going to have to get myself together a bit. Poor Andrea my assistant girl, I said to her today gosh your boss in tears 2 weeks in a row. not a good example. But my theory is it needed to come out. Possibly just not at work, but sometimes thats how it happens.

Am looking forward to Tassie Debs visit alot and meeting some of the other WA Girls and of course the lovely Mish, who has worked tirelessly in getting us organised......
Only a few sleeps to go.

Weekly Update

Well I have had the most horrid week at work, and with one thing and another there has

been a few tears this week. Very unlike me thats for sure. Anyhow am feeling better now as my 2 lovely girlfriends who I scrap with regularly came and picked me up and took me for morning tea at our favourite garden centre, was so great to sit and enjoy the birds, and flowers was so special and with my 2 very special friends.....

That was lovely. So also got stuck into the NON SWIG challenges as well and have done some LO's and did my first ever altered Tin item..... and a foldable for my darling niece's birthday in a couple of weeks.

My leg is still quite horrid but getting there. More physio this week and a quieter week boss is overseas this week. So maybe a little lighter work load.

OMG Secret Santa has ARRIVED

Hey All

Well having a pretty stressy week at work one thing and another and to my amazement up turns this parcel today for me from SS and it came from Port Pirie in SA - I am sure it is Leonie - Jester from TSH forum........

How truly spoilt and blessed I am to be sent this gift. For those who dont know the story we were all involved in the SS process and my SS had sent a gift and it has disapeared. SO a PROXY SS was asked to fill in and to my amazement a beautiful gift turned up.

Just shows you how the girls on TSH forum treat one another it never ceases to amaze me the thoughtfullness and kindness of these girls is truly amazing.

So I have included a couple of shots and there is a BIG thankyou on TSH forum

Has truly lifted my spirits for this week.

Back to the Office and Back to School

Well like everyone we had one member back to school today. DS is in grade 10 this year.
Seemed very strange today only having one going as DD has finished and is awaiting her course to start in March.

For so many a very tough time but as they get older its so much easier.

Been back at work 3 days feels like 3 years heaps happening and at least my lovely assistant has gone well with what she was doing.

Leg update it is rather sore today as I had physio yesterday as well this always increases pain level and didnt sleep to well. Then a full day at work so a little tired out.
All in all not to bad still having difficulty with the relying on everyone else for stuff.
Never get used to that.

Its SO Hot in Perth - Update

Hi All

Well its been so hot in Perth for the past few days over 40 degrees for 3 in a row and arnt I glad we have ducted air and heat now......
We had to get up in the night and turn it on as its so hot no one can sleep or eat its horrid.
I like hot but not that hot. Even the pool water is like a warm bath..

For me I have been going to physio twice last week and it hurts like you know what but thats ok thats what he is there for am now going to attempt going to the office tomorrow and see how I go. I have been working from home for the past 2 weeks and thats going ok, my new assistant is doing a grand job and I dont know what I would have done without her thats for sure.

The kids had the opportunity to see the Beach Cricket at Scarborough yesterday. One of the XXXX - Angels the girls travelling with the cricketers is my niece from QLD. The kids were thrilled to get tickets and go and see the cricket and of course our own Mel whilst she was here.

Mel also got to come to our local pub so Sarah and one of her friends went there to see her too.
Just such a thrill to see her all grown up and doing what she is doing. Fabulous, she has been a showgirl dancer at Jupiters for the past 5 years. Also was doing a role in the Moulin Rouche in Paris. So she is our famous relation.

My DH finally came home early from Canberra to surprise me which was lovely. He was away all week. It was quite difficult showering and getting organised without him but Sarah Craig and I coped....... So thats it from me for now.
